Volunteering
I feel incredibly fortunate and grateful for the life I lead,I am aware of how lucky I am. I firmly believe it is our duty to contribute back to society and actively seek out opportunities to volunteer. My heart's desire is always to do more, but current commitments often limit the amount of time I can dedicate. Even so, I remain dedicated to maximising the impact of the opportunities I do have, as giving back aligns deeply with my core values.
Alone Ireland
I am a volunteer with ALONE Ireland, I dedicate an hour each week to provide visitation support and befriending to an older person in my local area in Dublin. This essential one-to-one relationship is focused on offering companionship and practical support. My goal is to reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness while offering assistance to solve everyday problems, helping the older person feel secure and valued at home. This weekly connection is a profound and rewarding way to contribute directly to the well-being of society.

UCD Beach Clean-up (Flossie)
I recently had a rewarding time volunteering at a beach cleanup in Sandymount with Flossie's Beach Cleaners. It was a truly enjoyable and motivating experience to contribute directly to environmental conservation. Collectively, volunteers managed to remove a total of 133 kgs of debris and rubbish across eight different beaches, reinforcing the tangible impact that focused community effort can achieve. I look forward to participating in future cleanups!

Give Blood Ireland
I contribute by regularly donating blood every three months to support hospital demand here in Ireland. It is a truly rewarding service, made even better by the welcoming and grateful staff, with an abundance of treats. before we exit ! It’s particularly fulfilling when the donation service texts to notify me where my blood has been issued. My last donation went to the Mater Hospital. As a nurse, it feels incredibly rewarding to be able to save a life in such a vital and direct context, extending my care beyond the clinical setting.
