Nursing

Even as my career begins to move in new directions, nursing will always remain at the heart of who I am. My passion for the profession has never faded, it is rooted in something much deeper than a job title or a qualification. Nursing taught me what it truly means to care, to support people on their hardest days, to offer reassurance when the world feels uncertain, and to create small moments of comfort that can change someone’s entire experience. That human connection is something I carry with me everywhere.
There is something grounding about returning to the ward, the teamwork, friendships, the rhythm, the unspoken understanding among nurses who have each other’s backs no matter how busy the shift is.
I also come from a long line of nurses, so the profession feels almost like a family tradition. Growing up surrounded by stories from the frontline, the humour, the heartbreak, the small victories gave me a deep appreciation for the resilience, empathy, and quiet strength that define nursing. Those values have shaped me as a person, and they continue to guide every decision I make.
As I look toward the next stage of my career, I’m hopeful about stepping into a Project Management role within healthcare. It feels like a natural progression a way to combine my clinical experience with my growing passion for strategy, systems thinking, and making meaningful improvements at scale. I want to be part of shaping a healthcare environment that listens to both staff and patients, one that puts people first and values the lived realities of those on the ground. My belief has always been simple, people are the centre of healthcare, and every decision should reflect that. My nursing background keeps that truth at the core of everything I do
